Career Exploration and Internship Program
As part of the Phoenix Community Development and Investment Corporation (PCDIC) New Markets Tax Credit program, ACYR coordinates case management services for the Youth Career Exploration and Internship Program. The program assists youth age 16-25 years of age with their exposure to high demand industries through career exploration, post-secondary education, employment/internships, school club sponsorship, and continuing education scholarships, with the goal of increasing the number of young skilled workers entering the workforce. Youth are placed in internships with participating businesses in the targeted industries (currently manufacturing, business entrepreneurship, health care, and pharmacy technician) while attending classes through the Maricopa Community College system. College credit is awarded for successful completion.
